Booking an Appointment

How can I book an appointment?

Appointments can be booked in 3 easy ways...

- Online - using our booking page

- By Phone - 0485 976 808

- In store - Shop 2 / 1 Roderick St, Moffat Beach (9am - 6pm 7 days/week)

Do I need to pay for my appointment at the time of booking?

No. All appointments are paid for in store at the time of your appointment (unless, of course, you are using a gift voucher).

What payment methods do you accept?

We've got you covered with EFTPOS available at reception. We take all major cards, but sorry, we don't accept American Express.

If you are claiming a Health Fund Rebate, just present your card at time of payment and you will receive your benefit instantly and only pay the difference.

Didn't bring your Health Fund Card? No problem. We will give you a provider receipt and you can claim with your health fund. Not quite as quick and easy but you'll still get that rebate.

Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment online?

Yes. If you booked your appointment online and entered your email address then you should have received a confirmation email from us.

That email contains a link to manage your appointment. Click the link to reschedule to a time that suits you better or cancel your appointment if you require.

Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment by phone?

Yes, of course. Just give us a call and we will reschedule to a time that suits you better or cancel your appointment if you need.

If we are busy and unable to answer the phone, just leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Health Fund Rebates

Can I claim a Health Fund Rebate at Waves Thai Remedial Massage?

Yes you can! Our therapists are registered providers allowing you to claim a rebate from your health fund.

We have a HICAPS terminal in store so you can claim your rebate on the spot!

Do all Health Funds cover remedial massage in Australia?

Most major Australian health funds allow you to add remedial massage to your policy as an extra. Sometimes you will get a combined annual limit that also includes other natural therapies or treatments.

Research from Canstar shows that 88.5% of health funds in Australia will help you foot the bill for remedial massage!

How much will my rebate amount be?

Your rebate amount for each session will vary depending on your cover but here's what many funds usually offer:

Fixed Rate Rebates

Some health funds keep things simple with a flat-rate rebate:

- Remedial Massage: You’ll typically get $25 to $40 back per treatment.

Percentage-Based Rebates

Other health funds mix it up by offering a percentage of the treatment cost:

- Remedial Massage: You can expect 35% to 60% back (with premium cover). With some well covered clients getting 100% back on some sessions!

But keep in mind that these are just ballpark figures. Your actual rebate depends on your health fund and your level of coverage. And don’t forget many health funds have yearly limits or caps on how much you can claim for these services.

For a more exact estimate, it’s always a good idea to:

- Check with your health fund directly

- Review your policy details

- Use your health fund’s app or calculator tools (if they have one) to get a clearer picture.

By staying informed about your coverage and rebate options, you can budget better and make the most of your massage sessions without breaking the bank!

Does Medicare cover remedial massage?

Unfortunately not. Medicare doesn't cover remedial massage.

Medicare’s got your back for some hospital, medical and pharmaceutical health care costs like seeing a GP or specialist and getting tests and scans.

However, Medicare usually skips things like dental, physio, chiro and massages. But that’s where private health insurance steps in!

To get some dollars back on your massage, private health insurance is the way to go.

Can I claim a Health Fund Rebate on a massage Gift Voucher?

Unfortunately, that's a no.

Gift vouchers can't be claimed through health funds because the gift-giver isn’t the one receiving the treatment. This, of course, means the person receiving the treatment has not paid for the treatment.

How can I purchase a gift voucher?

Gift vouchers can be delivered in 3 different ways...

- Digital gift vouchers - for immediate email delivery to your recipient

- Printed Gift Vouchers - in store pick up - Shop 2 / 1 Roderick St, Moffat Beach (7 days a week 9am - 6pm )

- Printed Gift Vouchers - posted to recipient (no extra charge for postage). Just call us, give us the lucky recipient's details, make a payment and we will do the rest!

How long is my gift voucher valid?

Purchased gift vouchers are redeemable for 3 years from the date of purchase. The 3 year expiry date will be written on your gift voucher.

(Please note that gift vouchers we may occasionally offer as part of temporary marketing promotions may have shorter expiry periods. Expiry periods will be clearly stated in promotion conditions.)

Can someone other than the named recipient redeem a gift voucher?

Yes. If you have received a gift voucher but would like to pass the love on to someone else that's fine with us.

We just ask that you please let us know first so that there is no confusion.

Getting Here

Is it easy to park near Waves Thai Remedial Massage in Moffat Beach?

Yes! There is a ton of free on-street parking in Moffat Beach but beware, on sunny days they can fill up fast!

So you may not always get a park right out the front but you will usually get a park within walking distance.

Can I park behind the cafes next to Waves Thai Remedial Massage?

A few customers have asked us this but unfortunately the answer is "No".

The off street parking behind the cafes near us is reserved for the use of the cafes only.

Can I get to Moffat Beach on public transport?

Yes, absolutely!

Waves Thai Remedial Massage is easily accessible by public transport with several bus routes available.

Just 100 metres away from our location on Roderick St, you’ll find two bus stops along Rinaldi St, serviced by Bus Routes 600 and 607. These routes connect Moffat Beach to a range of suburbs including Caloundra, Kings Beach, Dicky Beach, Battery Hill, Currimundi, Wurtulla, Bokarina, Warana, Parrearra, Minyama, Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland and Maroochydore.

Additionally, there are two more bus stops located 400 metres away on Buccleugh St, serviced by Bus Route 602, which links to extra suburbs such as Aroona, Mountain Creek and Buderim.

Whether you're coming from Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Birtinya, Sippy Downs or further afield, public transport provides a convenient way to reach us.
